frequently asked questions:

what should I expect?

First, we’ll schedule a 15 minute planning call to outline your personalized shotlist. We’ll discuss your brand colors and general vibe to make sure we’re extra prepared for your photoshoot. The day of your session, you’ll arrive at my Southend studio, clean faced with your hair done, and be greeted with a mimosa (or straight champagne if that’s your thang!) and of course a hug! Our assistant, Sydney Schertz, will hang up any clothing you may have and put away personal belongings. Our incredibly talented makeup artist, Lindsey Regan Thorne will get started on that gorgeous face of yours to create the perfect makeup look, and she’ll put the finishing touches on your hair to make sure things look just right. Then you’ll join Amanda in front of the lens for your photography session, while content guru Annie Spence captures all of the #BTS and “b-reel” content for your social campaign! We’ll work our way through a number of background set ups from a desk area, solid white, black or neutral brown backdrops, a casual couch scenario with white brick walls and a few different chair options (don’t worry, we’ll nail down what you like before the session!). Not only will this be quick and easy, but we promise lots of laughter and fun along the way, and you’ll walk away with a bank of images to use for your website, social media and marketing! And we promise you’ll want to come back again!

What if I have a team that needs to be included?

Mini branding sessions are designed for one individual, so a team of 2 or more should email Amanda directly for more details on how we may be able to accommodate a small team. We can make it work, we’ll just need additional planning to make sure all of your needs are met!

can I bring more than one outfit?

ABSOLUTELY! We encourage a quick change in the middle of your session to help provide you with different “looks” as we work through our photography session.

can i bring props or products?

Sure thing! Branding sessions are meant to show off what you do, and should feel authentically YOU. If you have items that feel especially important to what you do (a camera for a photographer, clothing samples for a store owner, paint brushes for an artist, etc.) please feel free to bring them and we will incorporate them into your images.

What does “hair touch up” mean?

Clients should arrive with their hair already done. Our amazing HMU artist, Lindsey Regan Thorne, will put the finishing touches on your hair to make sure it’s looking perfect for photo time!
